Our Region

The Porto-Vecchio region in southern Corsica is reputed for its large number of magnificent beaches: Cala Rossa, Saint-Cyprien, and Pinarello to the north, or Palombaggia, Bocca di l' Oru et Santa-Giulia to the south.

The region is also situated at the foot of the mountains. A 25-minute drive will take you to the Ospédale Forest, at 1000 meters in altitude, with a magnificent panoramic view of the entire Porto-Vecchio region. 30 minutes later, after driving through the mountains and a forest of pine trees, you’ll reach the famous Aiguilles de Bavella (1600 meters in altitude), the departure point for a number of hiking trails.

Finally, you won’t want to miss a side trip to Bonifacio (a 30-minute drive from Porto-Vecchio), a splendid little town located inside the ramparts of an old Genoan citadel, where you can stroll through the maze of pedestrian streets. Bonifacio is at the southernmost tip of the island, and so on a clear day you can see the coastline of Sardinia.
